Inspiriert werde ich durch Farben, Formen, Stimmungen, die Natur und Kunst im Allgemeinen. Ich sehe die Leinwand als Bühne für das Zusammenspiel von Farbe und Form, mit zeichnerischen Andeutungen oder auch Collagen. Am besten gelingt es mir, wenn ich frei und ohne grosse Erwartungen ans Werk gehe. Meiner Meinung nach lebt ein Bild nicht von Perfektion, sondern von der Lebendigkeit und Dynamik. Ich mag es, Dinge anzudeuten. Das Weglassen - die Abstraktion - fasziniert mich. Ein Farbklecks oder ein Skribble am richtigen Ort kann mich begeistern.

Ich mag es weniger, wenn Bilder zerredet oder überinterpretiert werden. Der Betrachter soll seinen eigenen Weg finden, sich auf ein Werk einzulassen.

My inspiration comes from colours, forms, impressions, nature and art in general. I see the canvas as a stage where colour and form find together, sometimes with hints of drawings or collages. I love to work in dynamic and gestural movements. Intuition and rhythm are key for me. Reduction and abstraction inspire me and I am convinced a work of art does not come to life through perfection but through vividness and verve. A splash of coulour or scribble at the right place is fascinating.

I disapprove of a painting being reasoned to death. I rather want the beholder to form his own unprompted personal impression.
